E1 Garage Workshop

The building was added in the 1940s during the Monopoly Bureau’s factory period and was originally used as a wine warehouse. The two buildings on the north side are connected and, after being taken over by the Tobacco & Liquor Corporation Monopoly Bureau, were repurposed as both a fruit wine brewing site and a storage warehouse for fruit wine. The southern building served as a research unit, freezer, and a recreation room. After the war, the roof of the north building was raised to accommodate its change in function from a warehouse. In 1985, both the north and south buildings were partially demolished to make way for the development of Jinshan South Road.
